For James, everything began with a single image — a simple family photograph of his grandad. That picture held a whole story: personality, history, and emotion, all in one frame. It was the moment he realised that photography has the power to preserve not just faces, but the essence of people and their lives.

Guided by his mentors, Mike James & Kevin Wilson, James began his journey into portrait photography with a passion for capturing authenticity. His career later led him to become Art Director at the high-street studio franchise Venture, where he refined his creative approach and understanding of what makes a great image.

Today, James is an internationally recognised, award-winning photographer known for his ability to capture emotion perfectly in camera. He also shares his knowledge globally as a mentor, tutor, speaker, and judge, inspiring others to develop both their craft and their confidence.
